In addition to being an American Heart Association Training Center, Healthline First Aid is also an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider. As a Red Cross Training Provider, Healthline is licensed by the Red Cross to use and teach Red Cross training courses independently – to use Red Cross courses to train outside customers/companies.
The Red Cross offers its courses in three ways:
The American Red Cross offers babysitting training and advanced child care courses designed to equip you with essential skills for caring for children in your neighborhood when their parents are unavailable. Whether you’re a novice babysitter or an experienced child care professional, our top-notch training allows you to refine your abilities and become a trustworthy caregiver. As part of the training, you can also opt to earn certifications in First Aid and CPR/AED, valid for two years, preparing you to respond effectively in emergencies. We offer both online and in-person classes suitable for participants of all ages.
Red Cross certification courses for First Aid, CPR, and AED can be completed efficiently with blended learning, which combines an online component with and instructor-led skills session. Students can complete the online portion from anywhere with internet access – be it home, work, or another convenient location.
After completing the online portion, students can schedule a flexible skills session with a knowledgeable instructor from Healthline First Aid. During the skills session, students have the opportunity to discuss any questions with their instructor, practice the skills covered in the online modules, and then complete a skills test to obtain their official certification.
Healthline’s Red Cross CPR AED Blended Learning (Online + Skills Session) course option is for students who need to register for one of the following Red Cross courses and DO NOT need first aid:

Life-Saving Support in Emergency Situations
Emergency medical responders are trained to respond, assess, and triage when responding to emergencies. A first responder’s immediate actions upon arriving at the scene of an emergency play a crucial role in the medical outcome of the injured victim(s). Emergency Medical Responders are the link between early treatment and advanced medical care. Get the training you need to administer life-saving pre-hospital care with the American Red Cross - Emergency Medical Responder course from Healthline First Aid. Healthline First Aid is a Licensed American Red Cross Training Provider.
Healthline First Aid’s American Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder course is perfect for individuals seeking a job or role which requires emergency response certification, whether in the private or public sector. The American Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course includes 56 hours of training to cover the essential knowledge and skills needed to sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the effects of injury or illness until advanced medical personnel arrive.

Are you interested in becoming a Red Cross instructor? As a Red Cross training provider, Healthline First Aid can help…but why stop at a Red Cross instructor certification?
As an American Heart Association training center and a Red Cross training provider, Healthline can certify you as an instructor for both. After taking the AHA instructor course, Healthline will help you bridge to become a Red Cross instructor.
At Healthline First Aid, we are passionate about empowering our students with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to emergencies and save lives! With the online-only course options offered by the Red Cross, you can learn important life-saving skills from the comfort of your home or work.
Here is a list of the current Red Cross online-only courses we offer:
Do I receive a certification?
For Red Cross online-only courses offered by Healthline, students will receive a certificate of completion, not a certification. A certificate of completion acknowledges that the student understands the training topics but no hands-on training was completed and/or required.
The only exception to this is any bloodborne pathogens related training. Because bloodborne pathogens courses do not require a hands-on skills component, students will receive a formal bloodborne pathogens certification that is valid for one year.
Does the Red Cross offer other online-only course options other than what Healthline provides?
Yes. While the Red Cross offers online-only options for courses that include training topics such as first aid and CPR AED, Healthline First Aid believes that these types of courses should only be offered in a format that includes an instructor-led option. Learning how to properly push on someone’s chest when CPR is needed and how to properly apply an AED is too important for an online-only option.
